SATV, Kathmandu, Mar. 16 - ‘Ma, Myself’ is a solo art exhibition by artist Erina Tamrakar, running until April 5 at Gallery 108, Durbarmarg.

Tamrakar’s artworks, characterised by symbolic tones of deep orange, black and gold, represent the resilience of the inner self.

“My composition challenges and subverts the position of women in contemporary society, ‘ma’, which I interpret as ‘myself–Inner Power’, signifies strength accessed through the third eye,” says Tamrakar, on the theme of the exhibition.

In ‘Ma, Myself’, most of the paintings have one thing in common: the downward gaze of the figures. This motif suggests silence and inward reflection, inviting viewers to pause and consider their own sense of self. Similarly, the presence of the third eye indicates awareness and perception beyond the surface.

The exhibit also features a projector section showing videos about the artist.

As Tamrakar’s work mainly focuses on women, the exhibition, presented on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, celebrates the strength of womanhood.

Gallery 108’s curatorial statement notes that the exhibition unfolds as “a quiet and thoughtful reflection on identity and inner strength,” encouraging viewers to slow down and connect with their own sense of self.
